Behold Your Little Ones Lesson 27: The Sacrament Helps Me Think about Jesus Christ

Behold Your Little Ones Lesson 27: The Sacrament Helps Me Think about Jesus Christ

This is another one that is great for all ages so I'll try to divide things up again in two categories but you may want to look at both if you are looking for older kids as some can be adapted or still fun for older ones.

The Last Supper- Bible Video about 6 minutes long but you could probably get a good minute from it with little kids.

Jesus Christ Teachings the Nephites about the Sacrament and Prayer- Illustrated scripture story about 2 minutes.

The First Sacrament- Illustrated scripture story about 2 minutes

Nursery Age

The Nephites Learn of the Sacrament- Tell this story and color the picture or make it into a book.  Its always fun to add stickers to little booklets or small pictures of themselves in the artwork if you can manage it.  Since there are just 3 pictures you could string them on a piece of yarn with straws or foam shapes separating the pictures to make a necklace too.

Taking the Sacrament- This is a door hanger that you can paste pictures on of the Savior.  Talk about each picture during your lesson or as you do the activity. For older kids, do the challenge it mentions just above the hanger.

The Sacrament- A cut and paste activity about what we do for the sacrament.  Great to go along with the lesson.

Remember Him- A great picture wheel to color and have fun with- good for the lesson too.

Remember- You can play a matching game with these pictures or just cut and paste.  You could also tape some on to a string (matching pairs together so it shows on both sides) and make it into a belt or sash or a string to just hang up somewhere.

On the Road to Emmaus- Make this one into a puzzle to put together as a class then sing the song and practice what it says.

Our Savior, Jesus Christ- Jesus at the last supper- use as a visual during the lesson.

Coloring Pages

Be Grateful for the Sacrament- 4 small pictures to color here.  You could cut them out and attach to straws/sticks and use them to introduce primary songs about the sacrament.

My Family is Blessed When We Remember Jesus Christ- Great coloring page

Remembering Jesus Christ- Pictures to color of the first sacrament.  You could make two of the pictures puppets and act it out with the 3rd picture as the center.

Girl Taking the Sacrament- Coloring Page. You can always glue things on  like crumbled up scrap paper for the bread and tissue paper for the dress, torn up colorful magazine pages for wherever (it keeps them busy although it is more to clean up).

When I take the Sacrament- Coloring page of a family taking the sacrament

Older Primary Kids

Questions and Answers- A good reference if you are doing a FHE lesson or talk.

Clean Again- Decoding a promise about the sacrament.

The Sacrament- A fill in the blank with clues to see how much you know about the sacrament.

The Sacrament- Fill in the blank to decode the promises.

Remembering Jesus- A puzzle to color and put together (what we promise and what He promises).

I Will Remember Jesus- A journal to make and record what you learn from the sacrament hymns each week

I Can Repent and Be Baptized- A great 3-D poster to put together to remember how the sacrament and baptismal covenants are tied together.

Our Savior, Jesus Christ- A poster to hang up or put into a quiet book.

Jesus Christ is my Savior- Match the prophet to the scripture.
