Thank goodness for the enabling power of the Atonement. Christ understands and will help us through. The scriptures are also full of numerous examples of others who have had a tough life but made it through. It is possible. There are great things ahead for you. The following 8 scriptures will help you remember the good, feel comfort through the hard, and encourage you on.

Alma 58:11

Yea, and it came to pass that the Lord our God did visit us with assurances that he would deliver us; yea, insomuch that he did speak peace to our souls, and did grant unto us great faith, and did cause us that we should hope for our deliverance in him.

Don't give up hope! God will give you peace and comfort. He will strengthen your faith and help you continue on when you don't feel like you can. Remember these comforting words with  sticky notes from God.

Mosiah 24:14-15

And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.

God doesn't always remove your burdens but He will help you carry them. The good part of going through these difficult times is the relationship you will build with God. Let Him help you carry your load. Use this free poster and scripture craft as a reminder of the wings you can find as you work with the Lord.

D&C 10:5

D&C 61:36-39

And now, verily I say unto you, and what I say unto one I say unto all, be of good cheer, little children; for I am in your midst, and I have not forsaken you;
And inasmuch as you have humbled yourselves before me, the blessings of the kingdom are yours.
Gird up your loins and be watchful and be sober, looking forth for the coming of the Son of Man, for he cometh in an hour you think not.
Pray always that you enter not into temptation, that you may abide the day of his coming, whether in life or in death. Even so. Amen.

Don't delay your happiness because you have hardships now. There will always be something going on in your life. Don't let it keep you from joy that is rightfully yours. Be happy. Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Don't try to understand it all right now. It may be years or even in the next life when you truly see and understand what the Lord's purpose is for you being where you are right now. Acknowledge the Lord's hand in your life and pray to understand which direction He would have you take. Put your trust in the Lord and know He will you never lead you astray. Ether 12:27

And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

Your weaknesses serve a purpose. Instead of focus on the weakness, focus on the its purpose. What can you learn from it? Accept your weakness and turn it over to the Lord. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Remember the story of Esther? She risked her life for her people because she was born for such a time. You were born now for a reason. You have a purpose. Alma 37:37

Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
