Do you rejoice? I mean real rejoicing. Do you take time to not just feel happy but feel great joy? Or are you constantly worrying? President Dieter F. Uchtdorf asked,
Are we living with apprehension, fear, and worry? Or have we, amidst all of our challenges, not reason to rejoice?
We can either feed our worries and be consumed with our fears or we can recognize all the reasons to rejoice. Rejoice in your knowledge of the Atonement, the ability to repent and be clean again. Rejoice that we have a prophet for our day to lead and guide us. Rejoice that "Families Can Be Together Forever" is not just a song, it is beautiful, reassuring truth. No matter what our life challenges there is always a reason to rejoice. In 2 Nephi 4:26, 28-30 it says,
O then, if I have seen so great things, if the Lord in his condescension unto the children of men hath visited men in so much mercy, why should my heart weep and my soul linger in the valley of sorrow, and my flesh waste away, and my strength slacken, because of mine afflictions?
Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin. Rejoice, O my heart, and give place no more for the enemy of my soul.
Do not anger again because of mine enemies. Do not slacken my strength because of mine afflictions.
Rejoice, O my heart, and cry unto the Lord, and say: O Lord, I will praise thee forever; yea, my soul will rejoice in thee, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Have you not reason to rejoice? What are your reasons?
